TRAUMA THERAPY IN COLORADO:

Open the door.

Deep inside, a cabin holds the pieces of you that needed protection. This wasn't a sign of being "broken"—it was a brilliant act of survival.

Healing isn’t about rushing into the cold; it’s about tending your inner fire until you feel safe enough to expand. Together, we’ll use your bodily compass to move from the isolation of survival into the warmth of self-sovereignty.

Trauma isn’t ONLY about what happened. It’s about how your brilliance reorganizes your body and world.

Trauma doesn’t just hit one part of you — it affects your whole system. It shows up in your body, your emotions, your thoughts, and even how you relate to people. It’s kind of a full-body, full-life experience, not just a memory of something bad that happened. It isn't a defect; it is a full-system reorganization—cognitive, bodily, and spiritual—in response to danger.

Your hypervigilance was meant to pick up the scent of the lion around the corner. Your "fawning" was meant to keep you in the community. These aren't signs that you are broken; they are proofs of your resilience. Healing is the process of realizing that while the "cabin" kept you safe during the storm, you now have the sovereignty to step back out into the sun.

Areas of Focus

  • Perinatal & Reproductive Trauma

Trauma during family planning, pregnancy, and the postpartum period hits different because it occurs in a window of profound vulnerability. When the "glow" is replaced by NICU stays, fertility loss, or birth complications, the "I’m broken" narrative can take deep root. We work to stabilize your system and honor the transition into a parent-/ motherhood that feels like yours again.

  • Relational & Narcissistic Abuse

Toxic dynamics—gaslighting, parentification, and emotional manipulation—often force you to abandon yourself to stay safe. Whether these "scars" come from childhood or a toxic workplace, they often manifest as perfectionism and people-pleasing. We (re)claim the space for you to stay with yourself and express your sovereign voice.

  • The Complexity of PTSD & C-PTSD

While traditional PTSD involves returning to a baseline after a single event, C-PTSD is often about creating a completely new baseline. If you’ve spent a lifetime adapting to ongoing threat, we don’t "fix" you; we build a new foundation of safety where emotional regulation and a sovereign sense of self can finally bloom.

  • Abandonment, Separation, & Displacement

Born from family estrangement, immigration, or unexpected loss, abandonment trauma makes the body tremble at the hint of unavailability. It’s easy to believe the "broken" narrative that you were the cause of the leaving. We work to decouple your self-worth from the actions of others and redefine your value as something inherent.

  • Sexual Trauma & Reclaiming the Body

Survivors often face deep dissociation—a "leaving" of the body to survive. Cultural narratives can reinforce the feeling that your body is no longer your own. Together, we work to (re)claim your body as a sovereign sanctuary, allowing for authentic, consensual, and fulfilling connection.

  • Childhood & Developmental Trauma

"Child logic" and early vulnerability mean that trauma during these years leaves a lasting imprint on how you see the world. We offer sincere compassion to the inner child and the parts of you that learned to survive. We give you what you needed back then, nourishing the skills that lead to peace rather than just protection.

Healing is the second reorganization. It’s the transition from standing frozen at the edge to the brave, buoyant leap into self-sovereignty.

Self-sovereignty allows the body to settle into stillness and trust its own safety. Like a child trusting the water to catch them, it vibrantly restores the way you connect with your body, your soul, and the world.

The path to sovereignty: healing is an integration.

Trauma can set the body on high alert, instinctively searching for safety, and quietly shifts the way we connect with ourselves and the world.

Settle in your body.

Somatic & EMDR therapies

Instead of "leaving" your body during a trigger, we practice staying with it. By decoding your nervous system’s signals in the moment, you reclaim your sovereignty. You shift from feeling broken by your past to being a present, attuned partner to your own body.

Claim sovereignty.

Gestalt & mindfulness therapies

We practice creating a "mindful pause." This is where you reclaim your choice—moving from a reflexive reaction to a conscious choice that aligns with your values, not just your fears.

Restore connection.

Attachment, IFS, & social justice therapies

You aren't healing in a vacuum. We build a compassionate connection to your internal parts and your external community, ensuring your healing includes a sense of belonging and systemic awareness.
